Back story: Mirelle was the oldest daughter of the Great River of Narnia. She lived with her 6 sisters, each of them had different task to keep the river. Mirelle's Task was to watch over the speaking animals who lived in and around it. One day some Calormen came and attacked a family of otters who were under her care. She was able to fight them off but in the process she was badly injured, her sisters came to her and tried to help her. When they found she was dying they called for Aslan and he came with one of the queens of Narnia. She gave Mirelle a drop of Lucy's elixir and she was healed.

Mirelle was so moved by the queens compassion she swore her service to the protection of Narnia, and became a part of the Narnian army.

Mirelle uses the title of Sir in deference to the Lady Knight of Camelot, Sir Britomart in the epic poem The Faerie Queene. A wonderful poem carried over into there world at it's very begining by the first queen of Narnia, Queen Helen. Mirelle always marveled at the tales of the Lady knight and swore someday she would serve her people and have great adventures just like Sir Britomart.

Backstory: Arlian was nothing but a smith in training, and a very junior smith indeed. His ability with the hammer was just beginning when he heard of the Kings and Queens of Narnia call for battle. Arlian spoke to his master, explaining his interest in defending Narnia from all that may wish it harm. His master accepted his decision, sending him along with Arlian's own first smithing, poor as it was, to become a soldier of Narnia. Now he hopes to become a skilled fighter so that even he can call out in pride that he is indeed a soldier of Narnia.
